Iguana Bar is renowned for it's ever-popular 'Mirth on Monday' comedy
night, hosted by comedian and MC Des Sharples every Monday. A Typical
night is a blend of skilfully accomplished support comedians, right through
to some of the most highly established acts from the UK and International
Comedy Scene.
Many familiar faces from the comedy world and TV have performed
at Mirth on Monday over the years. Amongst countless others, they
have included Justine Moorhouse, Alan Carr, Shazia Mirza, Roy Walker,
Lucy Porter, Jason Manford,John Bishop, Richard Herring, Seymore
Mace, Rufus Hound, Junior Simpson and Paul Tonkingson.
Over the last eight years Mirth on Monday audiences have enjoyed more than 300 individual acts, double acts, troupes, characters, musical acts and much more. Traditional stand up's have formed the backbone of the night but of course the weird, wonderful and musical are also likely to grace the stage...
